'Danish Greenland'- Book part of Discovery 1901-1904 library

Book, 'Danish Greenland: Its people and its products', by Dr. Henry Rink. Published by Henry S. King and Co., London 1877. Inscribed by Hartley Ferrar. Given to the expedition by its patron Sir Clements Markham and contains inscription which reads: 'The Antarctic Expedition from Sir Clements Markham'. Book consists of maroon cloth covered boards with figure in traditional dress in hold on front and a stag on the spine.

This is part of a collection of books taken from the Discovery library belonging to Hartley Ferrar who was the geologist on the 1901-1904 Expedition. After the expedition this library was distributed between the men, all these books are inscribed 'H.T. Ferrar, Ex Libris Discovery'.
