Apprentice shipwrights, Panmure Yard
Photograph, sepia and mounted, of apprentice shipwrights in the hull of a ship being built at Panmure Yard, Dundee. The very young boy sitting on the bottom right has been identified as Mr. Alexander Dickson Williams, who was later involved in the building of the Discovery. He worked and lived in Dundee all his life and was awarded an OBE for shipbuilding.
