Newspaper cuttings, taken from "The Times" and dated 18th and 21st February 1930. The articles relate to the discovery of the bodies of Lt. Eielson (who was Wilkins’s pilot in his flight in 1928 from Point Barrow to Spitsbergen) and his companion. Part of a scrapbook belonging to William R. Colbeck, 2nd Officer on the "Discovery" during BANZARE 1929-1931 and son of William Colbeck, captain of the "Morning", the relief ship for the Discovery during the National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904.
