Stamp, depicts coloured illustration of prismatic compass and 'Lloyd-Creak' dip circle. The stamp is sold for 30 c. Part of a set of 10 stamps released by the Australian Antarctic Territory celebrating the 75th anniversary of the South Magnetic Pole Anniversary Expedition. These depict Sir Douglas Mawson, his ships, the scientific instruments used on his expeditions and the Gypsy Moth used from the Discovery. These were released in May 1988 to celebrate Mawson's birthday and bicentennial year.
