Diary Extracts, copy of extracts of the diary of William Colbeck,10-16/2/1900. written during his time on the Southern Cross Expedition. Sent to Sir Clements Markham, 5/12/1900, with accompanying note, by William Colbeck, who aswell as being the Magnetic Observer on the Southern Cross Expedition was Captain of the "Morning", which made two trips to Antarctica as a relief vessel for the "Discovery" during the British National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904. Sir Clements Markham was President of the Royal Geographical Society.
