Envelope, addressed to Chr. Colbeck esq., 225 Anlaby Road, Hull. Postmarked 11/10/1902. Containing a letter and newspaper cutting sent from Sir Clements Markham (President of the Royal Geographical Society), with Markham's crest visible on the back of the envelope. Belonging to a collection of papers associated with William Colbeck, Captain of the "Morning", which made two trips to Antarctica as a relief vessel for the "Discovery" during the British National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904.
