Envelope, addressed to William Colbeck Esq. R.N.R., 225 Anlaby Road, Hull. Postmarked London 23/11/1900 with the crest of Sir Clements Markham (President of the Royal Geographical Society) on the rear of the envelope. Contained a letter from Markham asking Colbeck for his observations of the ice corner. Belonging to a collection of papers associated with William Colbeck, Captain of the "Morning", which made two trips to Antarctica as a relief vessel for the "Discovery" during the British National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904.
