Letter of authentication relation to Discovery Space Shuttle plate
Letter of authentication signed by the astronauts of the maiden flight of the Discovery Space Shuttle expedition 30 August - 5 September 1984. This was to prove that an especially commissioned Royal Doulton Discovery dinner plate, reproduced in the style of the 1901-1904 crockery (found under DUNIH 2016.23.2.1) had flown into space during the expedition. This was one of three pieces taken on the expedition.
