Menu, mounted photocopy of a dinner menu issued by the "Savage Club" (a London based Gentleman's Club) to commemorate the beginning of the Discovery Expedition, dated 6/7/1901. Featuring a sketch of the Discovery with caricatures of some of the officers (and members) in the top left hand corner: Robert Flacon Scott, Albert Armitage (second in command), Edward Wilson (surgeon, zoologist and artist), W.E. Smith (chair of the club), Reginald Koettlitz (surgeon and botanist), Ernest Shackleton (Lieutenant).
