Morning's route + photo of crew
Postcard, taken from a collection of prints, letters, photographs and postcards relating to both the National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904 and the British Antarctic Expedition 1910-13. This particular object is a postcard folded and sealed with a blue ribbon and a red National Antarctic seal, addressed 'Mrs T V Hodgson, Birmingham England'. It opens to show a printed diagram of the Morning's route to relieve the Discovery, along with handwritten inscription, reading ‘I thought you would like a Morning postcard, Yours G. Childs. The Morning left on Saturday 6th to find the Discovery. She was laden with all sorts of things for the Discoveries’.The reverse bears two photograph of the Morning's officers and crew.
