Circular badge, Space Mission Patch taken from STS-5, a mission to deploy communication satellites on board SS Columbia, 11-16 November 1982. Circular Badge with blue star and image of shuttle in the centre, and red band around the edge with names of crew; Brand, Overmyer, Lenoir, Allen. Name of the shuttle "Columbia" in centre bottom. This was the first officially 'operational' shuttle mission, which deployed communications satellites into orbit.
