Newspaper cuttings, 4 cuttings stapled together, taken from 'The Times' all from Feb 1930. The first dated 17/02/1930 is titled ‘Loss of the Italia’, concerning an inquiry over the loss of the airship ‘Italia’. The second is dated 16/02/1930 entitled ‘Sir Herbert Wilkins’s Return’. The third article also concerns the Wilkins’s Expedition and relates to the scientific work, dated 18/02/1930. The final piece is dated 28/02/1930 and is titled ‘The Discovery at Kerguelen’ relating to BANZARE. Part of a scrapbook belonging to William R. Colbeck, 2nd Officer on the "Discovery" during BANZARE 1929-1931 and son of William Colbeck, captain of the "Morning", the relief ship for the Discovery during the National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904.
