'From Fibre to Fabric: The Story of Aberdeen Flax' Film

Film, 16mm black and white film with sound entitled 'From Fibre to Fabric', dated 10 March 1967 produced by Clansman Films. This film relates to the process of producing flax and is associated with 'Richards Limited' who owned Broadford Works, a flax mill in Aberdeen. The film shows the batching process with the hackling of flax, drawing machines, the winding department, boiling and starching the flax, the beaming department, weaving the flax, inspection of the material and the finishing process. The film is stored in a metal canister label on which reads 'Clansman Film, Aberdeen'.
