Hauling up the boats for the night
Slide, lantern slide depicting a black and white drawing showing men with boats on the ice edge of the Weddell Sea, relating to the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition 1914-1915. The original annotation reads 'Hauling up the boats for the night.' The boats are hauled up on to a friendly floe to rest the party, and to prepare food. This was probably drawn by George Marston (official artist on the expedition). Part of a collection of fifty eight slides depicting scenes from various Antarctic expeditions.
