Horse, model made from china depicting either a Shire or Clydesdale horse with full leather and metal harness on head and body, white feet, bear a label on the underneath side which reads 'Kingston Pottery, Hull'. Cart, model made from wood, flatbed with four wheels, painted red and includes metal fittings and wheel rims. Designed to have front wheel steering mechanism, front and rear springs, rear brake blocks. Model belonging to a set and includes a cart and two loose lamps, length of chain, leather strap and wooden pole with metal end cap and depicts the carts which would have been used for transporting raw jute bales from Docks/Warehouses up to the mills.The maker, William A. Crighton was a joiner by profession and made the model as a hobby in the1980s when he was about 70 years old and retired.
