Lapping Machine

Lapping Machine: Made by J.H. Riley and Company Limited, Bury, Lancashire. This machine is used within the finishing department. Once the woven material has been pressed in the calender, the reel of jute is then passed through the lapping machine which folds the fabric into the required size. This is then cut to form sacks or baled together for dispatch.
