Manuscript 'The North Land' from 'Songs of the Morning'

Manuscript 'Songs of the Morning', entitled 'The North Land', words by J.D. Morrison and music by Gerald S. Doorly (the musician among the officers of Morning). Manuscript on paper, 4 pages, written in ink.

Now well known as the Songs of the morning, some, or all of these were published by the Melbourne Wine and Cheese Club in 1943 and in 2002 a recording entitled The Songs of the Morning: a Musical Sketch was published for the benefit of the Dundee Heritage Trusts Antarctica 100 Discovery Restoration Fund, and the New Zealand Antarctic Heritage Trust.
