Newspaper, from unknown publication, circa October 1902, relating to the "Morning" arriving at Madeira and Colbeck's qualities as commander. This was sent to Colbeck by Sir Clements Markham (President of the Royal Geographical Society) alongside a letter and is part of a collection of papers associated with William Colbeck, Captain of the "Morning", which made two trips to Antarctica as a relief vessel for the "Discovery" during the British National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904.
