Newspaper cutting titled, 'Antarctic Find, 30- year-old tribute to British Explorers, perished 1914-17' from 'Combined American Press Correspondent aboard U.S.S. Mount Olympus. A copper tube containing tender tribute written in memory of three gallant Britons who perished in Sir Ernest Shackleton's 1914-17 expedition. was found at McMurdo Sound, site of the British Antarctic Expedition 1910-12 used by Captain Scott. There was a mystery as to why it was there as Scotts camp was 8 mile south of Sir Ernest Shackleton's camp.
