Painted Leaves, a souvenir from Simonstown
Painted Leaves: Two Silver Tree leaves mounted on card, the top leaf is painted with a ship and landscape, the second with inscription "A souvenir from simonstown". Faint pencil name + address on card. Relating to a collection belonging to George Mepham who worked on the Discovery II as a wardroom cook. Simonstown in South Africa would have been a destination on the way to Antarctica.
