'Polar Sky' Screen print

Print, limited edition centenary screen print entitled 'Polar Sky' created by illustrator Andy Smith for Polarworld's recent book project 'In Search of the South Pole'. The print show tiny silhouettes of a polar sledge party under a huge, black polar sky covered in words and phrases describing the South Pole. Polar explorers, travelers, scientists and authors including Ranulph Fiennes and Kari Herbert were asked to describe the South Pole simply in five words. These were combined with some phrases from books from the 'Heroic Age of Polar Exploration' to produce a skyscape of dreams and imagining.
