Rope layer
Rope layer; comprises of six revolving spool carriages feeding to one large bobbin at the right end of the machine. Large belt drive is located at the left hand side with a motor behind this (not connected to machine), motor made by Brook Motors Ltd, Huddersfield. Part of collection of jute processing machinery used to teach jute spinning and weaving at Dundee College of Technology.
