Slide, lantern slide depicting a black and white image of the five men, (from left to right) Lawrence Oates, Henry Robertson Bowers, Robert Falcon Scott, Edward Wilson and Edgar Evans reaching the South Pole, dated 18th January 1912. The photograph was taken by Bowers by pulling a cord with his right hand. The original annotation reads 'Five at the pole' with a printed label '107' and the handwritten stamp 'CVN 66' also present on the slide.Taken by Bowers by pulling a cord with his right hand. Part of a collection of fifty eight slides depicting scenes from various Antarctic expeditions.
