Newspaper cutting, taken from the "Herald" (Australian newspaper) and dated 1929-30. Features a black and white cartoon by Wells portraying officers of the BANZARE Expedition as penguins, from left to right the officers are: 1. Captain KN Mackenzie (ship’s captain), 2.Arthur Stanton (Chief Officer), 3.William R. Colbeck (2nd Officer), 4. John B. Child (3rd Officer), 5. Wilfred J. Griggs (Chief Engineer), 6. Bernard Welch (2nd Engineer), 7. Joe Miller (sailmaker) and 8. James Martin (Bosun). Belonging to a collection of photographs associated with William R. Colbeck, 2nd Officer on the "Discovery" during the Banzare Expedition 1929-1931 and son of William Colbeck, captain of the "Morning", the relief ship for the Discovery during the National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904.
