Article entitled 'Drama of south pole flight - four explorers tell their experiences - gamble with death - through a narrow gorge in the mountains', relating to the Byrd Expedition 1928-1930. Part of a scrapbook belonging to William R. Colbeck, 2nd Officer on the "Discovery" during BANZARE 1929-1931 and son of William Colbeck, captain of the "Morning", the relief ship for the Discovery during the National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904.
