Long playing record, entitled Sinfonia Antartica (Antarctic Symphony) the seventh symphony composed by Vaughan Williams. Features the irish soprano Norma Burrowes, the London Philharmonic Choir, London Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Sir Adrian Boult. Williams provided the music for the Ealing Studio flim Scott of the Antarctic in 1947, and was so inspired by the subject that he incorported much of the music into this his sevnth symphony which was completed in 1952.
