Letter, typewritten from Louis Bernacchi (physicist onboard the Discovery during the National Antarctic Edpedition) 55, Porchester Terrace, Hyde Park, London, W2 to William R. Colbeck, Carmene, Selworthy Green, Stan Park Road, Child Wall, Liverpool, dated 4/3/1938. The letter asks Colbeck if he has any information on his experiences onboard the Discovery that Bernacchi can include in his new book 'Saga of the Discovery'. Also shows Colbeck's handwritten note to say it was answered on '06/03/38'. Belonging to a collection of papers associated with William R. Colbeck, 2nd Officer on the "Discovery" during the Banzare Expedition 1929-1931 and son of William Colbeck, captain of the "Morning", the relief ship for the Discovery during the National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904.
