Two Letters stapled together, top one is from Philip Mishon to Mr William Fenton, thanking him for helping the expedition to get underway, second letter is form William Fenton to Mr Mishon thanking him on becoming an Associate of the Expedition. relating to the In the footsteps of Scott Antarctic Expedition
Top one consists of one typed page, dated 5th September 1984 and is from Philip Mishon to Mr William, on reverse in printed the Letterhead of Paul Bessire Ltd. The letter also has a cut of about 10.5cm from the right of the page to the centre about 2.5cm from the top edge. The second letter coonsists of one typed page, dated 31 August 1984 it is form William Fenton to Mr Mishon, British Rawhide Belting Limited, thanking him on becoming an Associate of the Expedition. It has hand written notes in both black and green ink and has had a part of the letter cut of from the bottom right hand corner about 10.5 cm by 2.7cm. Part of a collection of items associated with the 1984-86 Antarctic Expedition " in the footsteps of Scott " donated from Helen Symington who along with her sister, Hilda Ford (a Senior Sister at King Edward VIII Hospital), knitted Arran sweaters for the crew who went out.
