Blizzard, sledge pup
Slide, lantern slide depicting a black and white image of one of the sled dog pups taken on the Australasian Antarctic Expedition 1911-1914 and taken by official photographer for the expedition Frank Hurley. Named Blizzard the pup was born during the expedition, 38 other dogs were also taken to pull sledges, however due to the harsh conditions only two dogs returned. Part of a collection of fifty eight slides depicting scenes from various Antarctic expeditions.
