Article entitled 'Explorers defense of Commander Byrd - South Pole flight challenge - giant mountains seen no "fantasy" - 15,000 ft peaks', relating to Byrd's Expedition. Part of a scrapbook belonging to William R. Colbeck, 2nd Officer on the "Discovery" during BANZARE 1929-1931 and son of William Colbeck, captain of the "Morning", the relief ship for the Discovery during the National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904.
