Commemorative Chocolate Card- Cairn for Scott and Co.

Card, souvenir card bearing a coloured illustration of a cairn with wooden cross on top with an Antarctic sunset in the background labelled, ‘Cairn Erected to Captain Scott R.N. & His Companions’, underneath which is the caption ‘Fry’s Coca and Chocolate Makers to H.M. the King’. The reverse of the card features the inscription ‘This cross and cairn erected over the remains of.....’, ‘Captain Scott and the South Pole’ (the name of the series of cards) and the caption ‘Fry’s Pure Coca 300 Grands Prix Gold Medals’ all within a decorative boarder of coiled rope. Part of a complete set of 25 cards commemorating the Terra Nova Expedition 1910-12 issued by Fry’s chocolate (one of the expedition’s sponsors) in 1913.
