Commemorative Chocolate Card- Loading Sledges

Card, souvenir card bearing a coloured illustration of men loading sledges at the edge of the Terra Nova labelled, ‘Landing Sledges at Glacier Tongue’, underneath which is the caption ‘Fry’s Coca and Chocolate Makers to H.M. the King’. The reverse of the card features information on the Glacier Tounge, ‘Captain Scott and the South Pole’ (the name of the series of cards) and the caption ‘Fry’s Pure Coca 300 Grands Prix Gold Medals’ all within a decorative boarder of coiled rope. Part of a complete set of 25 cards commemorating the Terra Nova Expedition 1910-12 issued by Fry’s chocolate (one of the expedition’s sponsors) in 1913.
