Commemorative Chocolate Card - Unloading Stores

Card, souvenir card bearing a coloured illustration of crew members unloading boxes off the Terra Nova stationed on a ice shelf labelled, ‘Unloading Stores off Cape Evans’, underneath which is the caption ‘Fry’s Coca and Chocolate Makers to H.M. the King’. The reverse of the card features a description of how a site for the hut as chosen in 1911 on arrival in Antarctica, ‘Captain Scott and the South Pole’(the name of the series of cards) and the caption ‘Fry’s Pure Coca 300 Grands Prix Gold Medals’ all within a decorative boarder of coiled rope. Part of a complete set of 25 cards commemorating the Terra Nova Expedition 1910-12 issued by Fry’s chocolate (one of the expedition’s sponsors) in 1913.
