Press Cuttings, taken from unknown publication, features black and white photograph, showing navy officer Admiral Edward Evans inspecting his troops. Caption reads: "Evans of the Broke"- Vice admiral Sir Edward R.G.R. Evans today hoisted his flag at Chatham as Commander-in-chief, the Nore, in succession to Admiral Sir Hugh J. Tweedie. He is seen inspecting the guard of honour'. Admiral Evans was second in command on the British Antarctic Expedition 1910-1912 onboard the Terra Nova and was the last person to see Scott alive.
