Christmas card from the Oceanographic Expedition, Dec 1926

Christmas card, produced as part of the Discovery Oceanographic Expedition. The outer card shows the Discovery crest, thread ribbon tied paper insert with drawing of "R.R.S. Discovery at whaling station, S. Georgia." on left hand (verso) and greeting on right hand (recto) - reads "Discovery Expedition Christmas and the New Year From Erik" signed. Bottom left corner "RRS Discovery RRS William Scoresby/ Foreign Fleet Division/G.P.O. London E.C.L." Bottom right "Marine Station/ Grytviken/ South Georgia" with hand written additions 'Christmas at... and "South Atlantic".
