Newspaper cutting, taken from "The Sun News-Pictorial", dated Friday 31/10/1930. Article entitled 'Send off to "Discovery's" officers', featuring an image of Discovery officers given a send-off by naval and military members of the Defense Department. Part of a scrapbook belonging to William R. Colbeck, 2nd Officer on the "Discovery" during BANZARE 1929-1931 and son of William Colbeck, captain of the "Morning", the relief ship for the Discovery during the National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904.
