Newspaper cutting, taken from "The Observer", dated 24/8/1930. Article entitled, 'Alpine Pass Tragedies - Suffering of Italian Emigrants, Mother and Baby at 12,000 feet up'. Part of a scrapbook belonging to William R. Colbeck, 2nd Officer on the "Discovery" during BANZARE 1929-1931 and son of William Colbeck, captain of the "Morning", the relief ship for the Discovery during the National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904.
