Postcards, black and white (x12), found loose from inside a scrap book compiled by Sir Clements Markham. 1. Postcard featuring a photograph of Captain Scott entitled The Discoverys Captain. Dated 29 January 1902, addressed to Sir Clements Markham. This was sent from New Zealand, it is marked via San Francisco to indicate the postcard is to be sent on the Union Steam Ship from the New Zealand to Great Britain via Vancouver and San Francisco as supposed to the ship that went via Australia and Cape Town.
2. Postcard published by The Weekly Press, Christchurch New Zealand. Featuring a photograph of the Discovery in Lyttelton Graving Dock. Dated New Zealand 29 Jan 1902. Addressed to Sir Clements Markham, from a J.L. Marshall.
