Dish, fluted dish made from white, fine bone china edged with blue and gold. Commissioned from Royal Doulton for the use of officers and scientist onboard Discovery during the British National Antarctic Expedition, bearing expedition crest (penguin around belt motif) in the top centre of object. Makers mark on back of dish reads, 'Doulton/Burlem/England Rd No 72067'.
