Letter re. thanking Colbeck for his work on BANZARE

Letter, typed, from Sir Douglas Mawson (commander of the BANZAR Expedition) The University, Adelaide to William R Colbeck, dated10/7/1931 and written on BANZARE headed paper. The letter concerns general news and the recent developments in Frank Hurley's (BANZARE's official photographer) film. At the bottom of the letter is a handwritten note which reads: 'Your splendid work on the expedition will always be remembered with gratitude by me'. Belonging to a collection of papers associated with William R. Colbeck, 2nd Officer on the "Discovery" during the Banzare Expedition 1929-1931 and son of William Colbeck, captain of the "Morning", the relief ship for the Discovery during the National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904.
