List of BANZARE crew receiving Bronze Polar Medals

Newspaper cutting, taken from an unknown publication, dated circa 1931. Article entitled, 'Polar medal awards - British, Australian and New Zealand Expedition', stating those that were to receive this award. Attached is a handwritten note by William R Colbeck stating 'This was an error as they had got me mixed up with Dad. I had to write and in the end I received both the medal and the clasp'. Part of a scrapbook belonging to William R. Colbeck, 2nd Officer on the "Discovery" during BANZARE 1929-1931 and son of William Colbeck, captain of the "Morning", the relief ship for the Discovery during the National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904.
