Newspaper cutting, from unknown publication, dated 15/6/1930. Entitled 'Captain thrashes steward - Man who changed his mind about going to the South Pole', concerning Alexander Kane (Master of the S.S. Bradavon) who was accused of beating his steward George Yorston. Part of a scrapbook belonging to William R. Colbeck, 2nd Officer on the "Discovery" during BANZARE 1929-1931 and son of William Colbeck, captain of the "Morning", the relief ship for the Discovery during the National Antarctic Expedition 1901-1904.
