Seaman's log belonging to James Flood
Book, Seaman’s log entitled ‘Continuous Certificate of Discharge’, recording the voyages of sailor James Flood between May 1917 and November 1937. This book is bound in black faded fabric with a window on the front cover revealing his name. Flood was born in 1875 and served upon the Discovery during the Oceanographic Survey 1925. Documents at the back of the book are entitled ‘War Medals for the Mercantile Marine’ and ‘Voluntary Gunnery Course Supplementary Prize Shar Paid’.
