Student Notebook entitled 'Jute Spinning I, Eve class'
Student notebook, entitled "Jute Spinning I, Evening class". Part of a collection of documents relating to Wilfred Lakie’s textile training at Dundee Technical College during the 1950s & 1960s. Lakie began his career with John Lowson Junior & Co. Ltd. in Forfar. After a takeover from Jute Industries Ltd., he was first, commercial manager, then assistant sales manager in Brechin and Forfar. He subsequently moved to A & S Henry & Co. Ltd. in Dundee as commercial manager for the subsidiary Hardy J Smith Ltd. until the final contraction of the jute industry.
