Specimen jar, part of a collection gathered containing examples of Antarctic Ocean fauna dredged during the Oceanographic Expedition 1925-1927.This one contains preserved Teredo worm (shipworm) and also a piece of wood taken from the Port Stanley in the Falkland Islands. Label reads, 'Discovery Expedition, ST. 54, Net: Sh.col Teredo Port Stanley, Depth of Net: 0, Date 15/05/1926'. Piece of wood inscribed 'Teredo Port Stanley'. Jar embossed with 'The Kilner Jar' and top of jar reads' Original Kilner Limited'.
