Film of Indian Mill scenes, relating to Angus Jute Works
Film reel 8mm. Shows jute barges bringing jute from Sanderbans, unloading jute at Victoria Works and inside shots of mill. Also shows Indian scenes. Part of collection of textile items from Angus Jute Works in India. The film is seven minutes long and also includes details of village life, including livestock, the local train station and some footage of steam trains in the area. Part of a collection of items relating to Indian jute mills and Mr. Burt Clark. Clark joined Jute Industries as an apprentice in 1928. In 1933 he moved to India and began work as a clerk in Titaggua, later moving to Calcutta and becoming general manager for all the mills.
