Indian workers with jute barge
Photograph, black and white, shows covered barge used to transport jute within Calcutta, India with workers pictured alongside. Part of a collection of items relating to Indian jute mills and Mr. Burt Clark. Clark joined Jute Industries as an apprentice in 1928. In 1933 he moved to India and began work as a clerk in Titaggua, later moving to Calcutta and becoming general manager for all the mills.
