Ledger, half bound in leather with brass locking clasp. Handwritten paper seals (broken) reads 'Malcolm Ogilvie and Company' across papers. Ledger contains engineering drawings, machine details and figures, costings, weaving and spinning wages. Text written in copperplate script with many decorative lettered page headings. Donor inherited ledger from her grandfather who was director of Malcolm Ogilvie jute works who in turn probably inherited the ledger from his father who was one of the founding family of Malcolms. Dates around 1870s.
