Mrs Bridges Jute Gift Bag
Gift Bag, Jute. From the Mrs Bridges collection, wooden handles and plastic windows. Previously contained jam. Donated by David Wilkie, former employer of Jute Industries. He was 17/18 years old when he joined the mill. He started in auditing but moved on to the practical side in the industrial department. He went into the productiojn side as a Special Trainee, latterly manager, at Manhattan Works. When they started closing places down he went into sales, travelling around twine makers and carpet manufacturers such as Axminster and Wilton.
