Packing Label for a raw bale of jute, made from worven jute with red lettering. The label reads: Gift from the Governtment of Bangladesh for The Verdant Works Jute Museum Dundee Heritage Trust Dundee Scotland Bangla Tossa C Procuct of Bangladesh 180 KG.
The bale of jute ready for softening was a gift to Dundee Heritage Trust from the Bangladheshi Government when the museum opened. The jute was transported on one of the last jute ships into Dundee.
Bangla Tossa is the type of jute in the bale.
